I don't have time to say alot this morning, but YAY!!!!!!
Sorry to my American readers, I realize this is your election not ours, but I can pretty much assure you that most of the rest of the world are breathing a collective sigh of relief that the Republicans have been kicked out of the White House and are in the minority in the other 2 houses.
Let's just hope that George "W" Bush doesn't do anything stupid internationally in the couple months he has left.
Also Let's hope that Obama really is "change we can believe in" and doesn't dive straight for the middle ground. A peace maker, not a war maker, a reformer of education and health care.
I find it very ironic that all through the election the republicans tried to paint Obama as socialist (when he wasn't an islamic extremist).
Why is socialism considered a bad thing. Tony Blair has an approval rating in America that is through the roof, don't American's know that the Labour Party is a socialist party?
I think Americans are scared of the word and not the ideals...
I am not expecting Obama to turn out to be a socialist, but I am hoping that he at least moves america a bit further to the left so that in the future it isn't considered a dirty word any more.
