Richard Hammond

On 20th Sept 2006 Richard Hammond (above) was seriously injured while trying to set the British Land Speed Record... he was travelling at over 300mph when the rocket powered car he was driving swerved off the track and flipped several times.

Richard is one of the presentors for the TV show about cars "Top Gear" and presents the funny science show "Brainiac: Science Abuse".

Richard is very funny, enthusiastic and incredibly cute for a 36y/o.

There has been alot of talk in the press about dangerous stunts being done by tv show hosts and stuff, and I guess that is fair enough. Personally what I think is that Richard knows how to present stuff that is normally dull in a fun way, and all I can do is hope that he makes a full recovery.

I don't really know what else to say about it really... nothing profound, I just like him alot as a presenter and I found his accident upsetting, so I thought I'd share my feelings with you. Posted by Picasa

I understand he is recovering well and is expected to make a full recovery despite having suffered some brain trauma.

A presenter may be just as qualified to perform dangerous stunts as a stuntman. The programme's insurers would have insisted on excellent safety management and training so this is just what it was - an unfortunate accident.

Mind u Shelly I'm note sure what to make about your comment 'incredibly cute for a 36 year old' - surely you can be incredibly cute at any age? (apart from 16 maybe) lol.
